Every important event in our lives is meant to change us.
Advent or the season for the second coming of Jesus Christ, is a time where God brings something new in our lives. God brings us to a new beginning, a time to refocus and discern what is most essential in our lives. In this preparation, we need to be mindful of three important things based on our gospel today according to Mark 1:1-8:
1. Sacrament of Baptism
Let us focus our mind on our baptism, on how we became a member of the family of Christ.
2. Sacrament of Confession
A gift of God to unload our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
3. Sacrament of Confirmation
God continues to fulfill what He has given us in our baptism through the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit empowers us to be bold in sharing God’s Word and the life of Jesus especially those who are longing and hungry for His love.
As a family, let us strengthen our faith in preparation for the second coming of Christ.
