CELEBRATION OF THE SOLEMNITY OF HOLY TRINITY (A RECAPITULATION BASED ON THE HOMILY OF PATRIARCH CRAIG BATES)

Patriarch Craig Bates highlighted today’s homily with the following verses: “You must be born again.” (John 3:7) and “For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16)

Given the chaos the world have been suffering from COVID 19, one thing is for sure, that pandemic is NOT a punishment from God. Instead, this is the time of revealing Jesus; Jesus made known to us the love of God. God taking all the characters of human through Jesus because He knows exactly how it feels to be…and He inhabits in us, because He loves us that much.

Seeing Jesus on the cross, shows us the unconditional love of God, and we will never feel be ashamed by God, for He will never forsake us. The love of the Father as revealed in the life of Jesus Christ and the works of the Holy Spirit makes the solemnity of the Holy Trinity.

We will be judged according to what we have done. So, what shall we do? Hear His voice…when we hear the Spirit, our eyes are open and heal us of our blindness. We can see the mercy and grace of God. We can forgive, we can’t hate, and we can have joy in everything we do. We can see the goodness in every one….just pure love overflows in us. Believe also in the power of love, as seen in the life of Christ! God will continue to use man to spread this love through the Holy Spirit. We just need to ask…ask the Spirit!

Lastly, the Patriarch invites us, as brothers and sisters who need grace, to live life today in love. We should live daily in that love. Speak of Jesus out of love….to our family, our friends, our co-workers, and to every one we encounter or mingle every day. We will not be ashamed of telling others the love of God, as Jesus has never been ashamed of taking and carrying all our impurities.
